caves are fun!

Hi, I’m Eran Amir.
I am curious about how the world works.

I love to explore new places and experience new things, and dream up theories to explain them. Between 2001-2011 I have spent significant time travelling the world, while working for different software companies, which gave me some perspective of globalization, insights about how are all the same and different at the same time.

Wherever I went, be it Papua new-guinea, Jordan or Peru, I tried to meet with local people and learn something from their tradition, get “the feel” of the place, and understand the forces that shaped it to be that way.
I have visited all continents and shared knowledge with friends. Honesty, an open attentive mind and a smile will take you off the beaten track to the most unexpected places of the universe.

I was born and raised in the Negev - the southern desert territory of Israel. Deserts landscapes fascinate me ever since. It is a combination of harsh climate, geological phenomenon, meditative-like serenity, and the constant struggle of life amidst all this.

I have a B.Sc. in communication system engineering from Ben-Gurion University at Israel, and an M.Sc. in industrial Design from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. I am enthusiastic about combining ideas from different fields and pushing creative limits.

I believe that design should be fun and useful, that technology should enhance us rather than enslave us, and that we should consider more often how to benefit others in our society.
