Research Interests
- The structure form should be derived from environmental parameters. in this case, we'd like to use design computation to develop a model for evolutional form-finding using genetic algorithms. This model should be incorporated into the modeling environment to be both visualized and control by the designer.
- Geodesic domes are fascinating! Albeit their many advantages, they need special knowledge for assembly and disassembly. we suggest a technique to build domes from Tensegrity systems with 1-2 degrees of freedom to deploy and take down domes easily.
- Computation Design. Design a better API for CAD software to allow them to better integrate with external software modules. This will allow automation of design and computation of many design procedures.
- Intuitive Interfaces
- American 20th Century space suits. I have previously written a seminar work on the innovation and design process of American space suits from the Mercury mission until the space shuttle age. Unfortunately it is available in the Technion library in Hebrew language only.
- A preliminary research made for designing an ATM machine customized for elderly people.
